Welcome to Lumè

What Lumè is, who it is for, and what you can do with it — a tour of the platform.

Lumè is a CRM — a customer-relationship management system — built specifically for medical spas. It brings everything your spa runs on into one place: the appointment calendar, client records and clinical charts, consent forms, payments, marketing, reporting, and staff management. It is HIPAA-compliant, and a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is included with every account.

If you are brand new, the fastest path is: sign in to your workspace, then learn your way around.

What you can do with Lumè

Each area below has its own section in this documentation. At a glance:

  • Calendar & booking — a day view with a column for each provider, drag-to-reschedule, and online booking your clients use from your website. Appointments can send automatic SMS and email reminders.
  • Clients & charts — a single record for each client with their contact details, appointment history, signed forms, invoices, and clinical notes.
  • Forms & consent — build your own intake and per-treatment consent forms, assign them to clients, and collect legally-sound electronic signatures.
  • Catalog — set up the services your spa offers and the categories that organize them.
  • Payments & checkout — take card, cash, or check at checkout, generate invoices, and run a daily close-out that splits totals by payment method.
  • Marketing — build audience segments and send email and SMS campaigns, plus always-on automations like birthday and win-back messages. (Available on the Pro plan and above.)
  • Reports — financial, staff, guest, and operations reports that run on live data.
  • Staff & time clock — manage employees and their schedules, and let staff clock in and out for their shifts.
  • Multiple locations — if your spa has more than one location, each gets its own calendar and schedule, with an organization-wide view across all of them.

Built for medical spas

Lumè is designed around how a medical spa actually works, not adapted from a hair-salon tool:

  • Per-treatment consent that has to be signed at the right visit, with a full audit trail.
  • Clinical charting kept on the client record alongside their booking and payment history.
  • HIPAA compliance by design — your data is isolated from every other spa, access is permissioned by role, and protected health information is logged whenever it is read. The BAA is part of your standard agreement.

How this documentation is organized

The categories on the home page follow the same shape as the app's left-hand menu — Calendar, Clients, Forms, Catalog, Payments, Marketing, Reports, Staff, and Organization settings. New guides are added as features are released; this is a living set of documentation, and every article describes how the product actually works today.
