Services and categories
Set up the treatments your spa books and the categories that organize them.
Your service menu is the foundation everything else books against — the calendar, online booking, and checkout all draw on it. Services live under Catalog → Services, and the Categories that group them are right alongside under Catalog → Categories.
Adding a service
On the Services page, select New service and fill in:
- Name and an optional description.
- Category — which group it belongs to (set these up first; see below).
- Price and duration in minutes. You can also set a buffer — extra time blocked after the appointment so the room and provider get a moment between clients.
- Eligible providers — who's allowed to perform it. Leave it open and anyone bookable can; restrict it and only those providers appear when you book the service.
- Whether it's bookable online and whether it's active.
A service that isn't bookable online still works for in-house booking — it's just marked phone only, so clients can't self-book it on your website. Turning a service inactive retires it without disturbing the appointments already booked against it.
Organizing with categories
Categories keep a long menu navigable and give each service a color on the calendar. On the Categories page, select New category and give it a name and a color. You can also limit a category to certain job titles, so — for example — only your injectors are offered for injectable services.
To edit a category later, click its row. The services count next to each category tells you how many treatments it holds.
Setting up and editing the catalog is limited to owners and managers. Everyone else can see the menu but not change it.
