The waitlist

Capture clients who want an earlier slot and work the list when openings appear.

When a client wants a slot that isn't available — an earlier date, or a day that's already full — add them to the waitlist instead of losing the request to a sticky note. Open the Waitlist tool from the calendar's right-hand rail.

Entries are grouped by the date the client is hoping for (today, tomorrow, and so on), so when a cancellation opens a slot you can see at a glance who wanted that day. A status filter at the top defaults to Waiting; you can also view Contacted, Booked, Declined, or All.

Adding someone to the waitlist

Select + Add and fill in the short form:

  1. Choose an existing client by searching, or switch to add a new one with their name, email, and phone.
  2. Pick the service they want.
  3. Optionally choose a provider — leave it on any if they're flexible about who they see.
  4. Set the preferred date and add a note if there's anything useful to remember.

Clients can also add themselves to the waitlist from your online booking page when the day they wanted is fully booked, and those entries show up in this same list.

Working the list

Each entry shows the client's phone and email so you can reach out with one tap. As you work a request, update its status with the buttons on the entry:

  • Contacted — you've reached out and are waiting to hear back.
  • Booked — you got them in (book the appointment as usual, then mark the entry booked).
  • Decline — they're no longer interested, or the request is stale.

The waitlist is a manual tool: Lumè doesn't text clients automatically when a slot frees up. It's there to keep every "let me know if anything opens" request in one organized place so the front desk can act the moment something does.
