Booking an appointment

Create a booking from the calendar — pick the client, service, provider, and time.

You can book an appointment from anywhere in the calendar with the New appointment button in the top bar. It opens a panel that slides up from the bottom of the screen.

Filling out the booking

  1. Choose the client. Start typing a name, phone, or email and pick the client from the list. Booking for someone new? Use + Create new customer right there in the panel and enter their first name, last name, phone, and email — you don't have to leave the calendar to add them first.
  2. Pick the service. Type to search your service menu and select one. To book more than one treatment in the same visit — say a facial and a Botox touch-up — add them under additional services so they land on a single appointment and a single invoice.
  3. Choose the provider. The provider list only shows people eligible to perform the service you picked, so you won't accidentally book a treatment with someone who isn't set up for it.
  4. Set the date and time. The date field has quick picks (today, or two, four, and six weeks out) for treatment-cycle rebooking, plus a calendar to choose any date. The time picker snaps to five-minute increments within your business hours.
  5. Add a note if there's anything the provider should know — it's optional.

If the client has a package or membership that covers the service, you'll see an option to redeem credit. Turning it on flags the visit as covered; the credit isn't actually used until you take payment at checkout.

Saving it

Select Create appointment. The appointment appears on the calendar in the provider's column, and Lumè automatically opens an invoice for it behind the scenes, so it's ready to check out when the client arrives.

If the provider already has something at that time, Lumè shows a gentle double-booking warning but still lets you save. That's intentional — sometimes you genuinely want to overlap a flexible provider. The warning is just there so a clash is never a surprise.

Next steps

  • Manage the appointment once it's on the calendar — confirm it, check the client in, or take payment.
  • Set up the services and providers that appear here under Catalog and Staff.
